Notes from 9-24 and 9-25 on Dividing Exponents and Monomials

9-24/9-25 Notes

The above is review of division of Exponent Rules

Remember to Raise the number to the power and multiply exponents then simplify.

Negative Exponents above remember that Negative Exponent on the outside means that you need to flip (find the inverse) of the fraction then begin working with the exponent in positive form. When the variable in the fraction has a negative exponent move it to the oppositie position. Either from numerator to denominator or Denominator to numerator and make positive then simplify.

Zero Power!

Remember anything to the power of zero is 1

Homework:

When you check out Videos Check http://www.mathtv.com/videos_by_topic
